Clarence Jack Brinkley, Jr., 71, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on September 24, 2023 at his home. He was born March 1, 1952, in Macon, GA, son of the late Clarence Jack, Sr. and Addie Virginia Carroll Brinkley. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Marcia Ware Brinkley and brother, Richard Keith Brinkley. He is survived by a daughter, Karen E. Galicia and husband René, of Knoxville, TN; brothers-in-law Melvin Ware (Janet) of Blacksburg, SC and Edwin Ware of Morganton, NC; nephews Brian Ware (Brandi) and Kenneth Ware of Blacksburg; nieces Susan W. Anderson (Kell) of Barnwell, SC and Kimberly W. Scebold (Brian) of Troutman, NC
Jack graduated from Anderson, SC, High School, attended Erskine College in Due West, SC, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina. He enjoyed a successful career in both domestic and international sales specializing in medical products. He resided at various times in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas, eventually returning to Georgia in 1995, where he later retired from Ace Glass.
Jack was an avid reader, enjoyed political commentary, was a talented guitarist, and had a memorable sense of humor. A graveside service was held on Monday, October 2 at 11:00 AM at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain with Dr. Rob Patrick of Boyce Memorial ARP Church officiating. Interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.
