Derek Duane "Shamu" Spencer

Derek Duane "Shamu" Spencer, 54, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 19, 2021 at Atrium Cleveland in Shelby, NC.  Born in Ingham Co, MI, He was son of the late Jack Spencer Jr.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Scott Spencer. 

Derek made a career in the racing industry and was a member of the Kings Mountain Country Club.

Sister: Diane Foley and husband Dan, Eaton Rapids, MI

Brother: Kirk Spencer and wife Christie, Mason, MI

Significant Other: Erma Wright, Elizabethton, TN

Celebration of Life Service:  6:00 P.M. Monday, August 23, 2021

 at 625 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115

Casual Visitation: 5:00 - 6:00 prior to the service.
