Edith Lorene Beam (Foster)

Edith Lorene Beam (Foster), 92, a resident of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, while under the care of Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation in Cherryville, NC. She was born in Union County, SC, the middle child of eleven children of Lillian Smith Sullens (Griffin) and Wylie Sullens. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, George, Ray, Roy, Lee, Gene and Bill and sisters, Elizabeth, Sara, Dorothy and Mildred. A graduate of Grover High School and worked in textiles, retiring from L & K Knitting as a supervisor of the finishing department. She was a life time member of First Baptist Church of Grover, NC where she sang in the choir for many years. 

SURVIVORS: The love of her life and only child, Craig Lee Beam and wife Cathy Horton Beam, Kings Mountain, NC
Step Grandchildren: Charlotte Terry and husband Joshua, Shelby, NC and Megan Bridges and husband Aaron, Shelby, NC
Step Great Grandchildren: Maddie and August Terry, and Preston, Bella, Ellie and Hadley Bridges
Sister-in-law: Marie Robinson  Beam

A private graveside service of immediate family only at the Grover Cemetery

A Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Craig and Cathy's home, 108 Brandonwood Lane, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
