Edna Sue Proctor, 87, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 17, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Shelby, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, daughter of the late James and Rosa Benfield Short and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Proctor and a son, Eddie Proctor. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bud, Arnold, Fred, and Mack Short, and her sisters, Onas Holland, and Naomi Benefield Edna was a devoted homemaker, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always placed her family ahead of herself. She enjoyed watching lifetime movies and never missed her soap operas. Her kindness, love, and spirit will be missed dearly by everyone who loved Edna. 

SURVIVORS: Children: Johnny Proctor, Tennessee, Danny Proctor, Shelby, NC, Pamela Nivens, Gastonia, NC, and Jackie Fowler and husband Kenneth, Shelby, NC
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, September, 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris memorial Chapel

VISITATION: Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
