Everette "Buddy" Medlin
Everette "Buddy" Medlin, 92, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 22, 2022 at Peak Resources in Cherryville, NC. He was born June 17, 1929 in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Everette Fulton Medlin and Mary Lee Roberts Medlin. He will join his wife of almost 65 years, Dot Cothran Medlin and sister, Joyce Medlin Biddix. Buddy was a longtime active member of First Wesleyan Church of Kings Mountain where he raised his family, made supportive and loving friends, and strengthened his faith. Buddy and Dot enjoyed traveling with Christian Tours, collecting antiques, and always doing for others. In his younger days, he spent countless hours coaching and volunteering his time to his love and passion of sports. He graduated from Kings Mountain High School in 1948, served in the US Army, and retired from the Kings Mountain Post Office where he met many from the community. 
SURVIVORS: Daughters: Barbara Giurintano (Phil) and Cindy Gillespie (Mike)
Grandchildren: Lauren Gillespie (Matt), MaryLee Giurintano (Erika Hodan-Giurintano), Kelly Melton (Rusty)
Great Grandchildren: Kyndal, Braxton, and Ava
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mountain Rest Cemetery
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
