Gloria Jean Price Summers

Gloria Jean Price Summers, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on October 12, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. Gloria was born in McDowell County, North Carolina and was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Charles William Summers. She and Charlie were longtime members of First Baptist Church where Gloria sang in the choir and enjoyed traveling with the church. She worked as a Registered Nurse her entire career and retired from Gaston Hospice after many years of service. Gloria loved learning about history and enjoyed visiting historic sites and museums with her family and best friend, Crystal Dixon.   She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. The lessons she shared with loved ones, her kindness, and her love will be cherished for a lifetime by all who knew Gloria. 

SURVIVORS: Son: Dale Summers, Hickory, NC
Grandchildren: Renee Hughes (Keith), Kings Mountain, Jessica Adkins and Adam Summers, both of Blacksburg, SC
Great Grandchildren: Khloe Summers, Kyra Hughes, Dainan Hughes, and Payton Adkins

MEMORIAL SERVICE: The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, 4:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. John Sloan officiating
