Hubert Charles Johnson

Hubert Charles Johnson, 77, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 20, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born in Edgefield County, SC, son of the late Clifton and Martha Smith Johnson and was preceded in death by his brother, Luther Johnson. Hubert attended First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. He was employed as a mechanical engineer with Butte Knitting Mills in Spartanburg, SC, American Thread Company in Marion, NC, and finally retiring from Spectrum Dyed Yarns in Kings Mountain, NC. Hubert was an avid deer hunter and loved tinkering with projects. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved his family with his whole heart. 

SURVIVORS: Wife of 57 years: Sandra Williams Johnson, of the home
Children: Paula Johnson Burgin (Lynn), Marion, NC, and Jeffrey Johnson (Katie), Inman, SC
Grandchildren: Emilie Williams (Derek) and Mollie Burgin of Marion, NC and Davis Johnson and Addie Johnson of Inman, SC
Sisters: Lula Ryan (Tom), Lexington, SC and Lisa Black (Keith), Spartanburg, SC 

FUNERAL SERVICE: The family will hold a Memorial Service on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3:30 PM at First Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Black and Alex Marsh officiating

VISITATION: Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM prior to the service at First Baptist Church
