James "Jim" Arthur Harry 
James Arthur Harry, 81, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on April 25, 2022 at his home.  Jim was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Charles Franklin Harry Sr. and Estelle Johnson Harry and was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Harry, his sister, Jean Frances, a son, Jay Harry, and a stepson, Richard Allen Philips. Jim was a past member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Grover, NC. He spent many years as one of the owners and a member of the management team of Grover Industries where he befriended many. Jim was a 1962 graduate of Clemson University. Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling in his early life. He lived a simple life surrounded by family and friends. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. 
SURVIVORS: Wife: Shirley Y. Harry, of the home
Son: Jonathan Harry and wife Tamara, Sanford, NC 
Stepson: Norman Gerald Phillips and wife Amada, Charlotte, NC
Grandchildren: Hailey Harry, Jonathan Harry, Corey Allen Phillips, Diana Caroline Phillips, and Allen Phillips
Brother: John Harry and wife Pat, Grover, NC 
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Private family service
VISITATION: Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home 
INTERMENT: Grover Cemetery, Grover, NC

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to Hospice of Gaston County
