John O. Van Dyke

John O. Van Dyke, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 01, 2021 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC.   He was born in Cleveland Co,  NC, to the late Robert R. Van Dyke and Ollie Padgett Van Dyke.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Van Dyke.   John was employed for over 40 years as a lab analyst with Foote Mineral Co, Kings Mtn. and a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church,  formerly serving as Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Lay Speaker, and Training Union Director. He served in the United States Army after World War II in the Peace Keeping Force in Germany.    John was a wonderful husband, father and friend who was always willing to help anyone in need.

Daughter: Roberta J. Van Dyke, Kings Mtn. NC

FUNERAL SERVICE: El Bethel United Methodist Church,  Sunday, December 5, 2021    2:00 P.M.  Rev. Julie Roberts and Rev. Bruce Hobson, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 5, 2021 prior to the service in the fellowship hall of El Bethel United Methodist Church. 

INTERMENT:  Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
