Larry Jennings Cannon

Larry Jennings Cannon, 72, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 15, 2023 at his home. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Ralph Jennings Cannon and Lucille Hambright Cannon and was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Brookins. Larry was of the Catholic faith and attended Christ the King Catholic Mission in Kings Mountain. He retired from Parker Hannifin where he worked in maintenance for many years. Larry enjoyed staying busy and working with his hands. He could often be found building model planes, tinkering with drones and working with his CNC router. He was a talented mechanic and enjoyed fixing anything he could find to work on. Larry was an accomplished cook and loved feeding people. He adored family gatherings and spending time with those he loved. He was a dedicated father, loving grandfather and great grandfather, and faithful friend. His wisdom, understanding and love will be cherished by all those who knew him for a lifetime. 

SURVIVORS: Sons: Barret Cannon and wife Melinda of Kings Mountain, NC and Brian Cannon and wife Amanda of Shelby, NC

Grandchildren: William Berry (Ashley), Kaitlynn Cannon (Brandon), and Melissa Calabria (Sami), of Kings Mountain, NC and John Paul, Anthony, and Ava Cannon of Shelby, NC

Great Grandchildren: Maddux Gantt, Zayden Rogers, Oliver Berry, Julietta Calabria, Maverick Gantt, and Natalie Berry

Sister: Onita Spake, Walnut Creek, CA

Niece: Onita-Sonya Chavez, California
