Leona Ann McColm, 80, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully on September 03, 2023 at her home. She was born in Houghton County, MI, daughter of the late Henry and Milga Byykkonen Kuopus and was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Leona was a dedicated homemaker for her family and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Despite her loved ones being many miles apart, Leona was faithful in speaking to, caring for, and loving every one of them. Her love, friendship, and compassion will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Daughter: Jennifer Ann Hargett (Will), Charlotte, NC

Son: Steven Lloyd McColm, Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: Adam Hargett, Charlotte, NC, and Logan McColm, Kings Mountain, NC

Sister: Ruth Nichols, New Baltimore, MI

Sister-in-law: Joyce Kuopus

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Pastor Ed Waycaster officiating
