Mary Elizabeth Wells, 97, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 08, 2019 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Joe T. Peterson and Effie Millen Peterson and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Grady Lee Wells. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William A. and Benjamin T. (Pete) Peterson, and her sisters, Rosa P. Bishop and Eva P. Gantt. Mary worked in the textile industry and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Mary loved her canine companions like they were her children. She enjoyed spending time with Grady and her friends. Mary was a devoted wife and a wonderful friend. The family would like to thank the staff at White Oak Manor for the service given Mary over the years.
