Patricia Ledford Whetstine, 84, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully, on August 08, 2022 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Paul Webb and Lessie Marie Stone Ledford and was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Ledford, 2 sisters, Nancy Walker and Ellen Wright, a grandson, Barry Rhames, and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Whetstine. Patricia was a faithful lifetime member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and the center of life for her beloved family. Patricia spent her lifetime caring for others. She enjoyed creating beautiful arts and crafts, canning home grown vegetables, and cooking family meals. Patricia's guidance, direction, and love for her family and friends will be missed greatly.
SURVIVORS: Husband of 66 years: David Whetstine, of the home
Children: Bobby Whetstine (Susan Steffen), Charlotte, NC, and Tinna Helms (Roger), Kings Mountain, NC
Grandchildren: David Rhames, Abbey Little, Daniel Whetstine (Kara), and Rachel Whetstine
Great Grandchildren: Alex Rhames, Isreal, Ryan, and Jaxon Whetstine, David and Daren Williamson, Max Little, and Charlie Swanson
Sister: Brenda Cooke
Special Sister-in-law: Diane Whetstine
Granddaughter-in-law: Nikki Rhames
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Carpenter officiating
VISITATION: Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Temple Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Grover City Cemetery, Grover, NC
