Philip Bradley Lovelace
Philip Bradley Lovelace, 70, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on March 17, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Bill and Dorothy Humphries Lovelace and was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Lovelace. Phil attended the Family Worship Center where he loved playing the saxophone with the praise and worship team. He was an accomplished saxophone player and was a member of Ocean Boulevard for more than 20 years. Phil's desire to serve his community was reflected in his career with the City of Shelby Fire Department where he served more than 32 years as a firefighter, and Fire Marshall. He was an accomplished artist, having his artwork displayed in galleries and featured at the Shelby Arts Council. Phil's legacy as an artist will live on at Fire Station #1 in Shelby, NC through the large mural he painted there. He was a history buff and member of the Gastonia Chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Phil was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with the people he cherished, his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather whose influence, service, and love will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.

Children: Brad Lovelace, Shelby, NC, Brandy Collins, Shelby, NC, and Lee Lovelace (Chrissy), Kings Mountain, NC
Step-Son: Jonathan Jackson (Pam), Kings Mountain, NC
Grandchildren: Chaise, Logan, and Tessa Collins, Kaydence Lovelace
Great Grandchild: Annaleigh Collins
Special Grandchildren: Hunter and Taylor Jackson
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, March 21, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Family Worship Center with Reverend Dr. Roger Woodard officiating
VISITATION: Monday, March 21. 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service at the church
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
