DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA SAM JOSEPH SCHIAVO Sam Joseph Schiavo, 93 of Brevard, NC, formally of Kings Mountain, passed away on October 16, 2017 at Charles George VA Hospital, Asheville, NC. Born in Wayne County, MI, he was the Son of the late Frank Schiavo and Angelina Favalori. Sam was retired owner/operator of the Paint Pot, a paint store for over 40 years in Sunnyvale, California. He served as a corporal in the US Army and was a Prisoner of War during WWII. He was a member of Scared Heart Catholic Church Brevard, NC. SURVIVORS: Son: Larry Schiavo and wife, Clarann, Cherryville, NC Daughter: Nancy Zieman and husband Joe, Vancouver, WA 1 grandchild and 3 great-great-grandchildren GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Graveside service Monday, October 23, 2:30 PM, Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, Santa Clara California.
