Tina Patterson Melvin

Tina Patterson Melvin, 56, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 07, 2023 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Larry and Kay Bess Patterson. Tina was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending with her family. She was the owner of Cleveland Appraisal Service where she worked as a real estate appraiser for 25 years. She was also the owner of Pink Crow farm where she made and sold all natural farm products. Tina enjoyed spending time raising chickens and goats, making candles, and was a selfless and giving person. She was a past member of the Shelby Rotary Club and cherished time spent with her family at the beach. Tina was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Her strength, courage, wisdom, guidance, and love will be cherished and remembered for a lifetime by anyone who knew Tina. 

SURVIVORS: Husband of 23 years: Matthew Melvin, of the home

Children: Nikki VanDyke and husband Jordan, and Mathew W. Melvin, both of Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: James Henry VanDyke and Eleanor VanDyke

Siblings: Todd Patterson, Grover, NC and Angela Adams, Kings Mountain, NC 

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Kings Mountain, NC (605 West King Street, Kings Mountain, NC) with Reverend Dr. John Sloan officiating

VISITATION: Friday, November 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service in the Stain Glass Room of First Baptist Church

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
