MAX HERMAN WILLIAMS

Max Herman Williams, 85 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 29, 2017 at Wendover Hospice, NC.  Born in Cleveland County NC, he was son of the late Julies and Avalona Mae Champion Williams  .  Max was first married to the late Frances Geraldine Addington Williams and was the widower of the late Mary Estelle Carroll Etters Williams. Besides his parents, he was preceded by his stepson Robert Paul Etters, stepdaughters, Margaret Louise Grindell, Barbara Jean Postell, sister Anna Mae Ware, Lucille White, Thelma Weaver, Corrine Hamrick, Linda Carpenter and brother Elmer Williams.

Max was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army and enjoyed living in Florida before his illness and returning to Kings Mountain, NC 

SURVIVORS:  son: Roger Dale Williams, Winstead, CT

daughters: Sandra K. Kleszcz (Joseph), East Haven, CT, Cathy Elaine Boudreau, Clinton, CT, Sherry Lynn Nepton (Bernie), Richfield Springs, NY,

stepson:  Randy Etters (Linda), Seymour, CT.; 

sisters: Victoria Sellers , Kings Mtn. NC and Pauline Arrowood, Sandy Mush, NC

18 Grandchildren,  many great grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM  Friday, September 1, 2017 in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain, NC

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Friday prior to the funeral Service

INTERMENT:  Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, N
